Pondering A Question
William Hazen, left, and Philip Hubbard of the Gremlin Patrol of Boy Scout
Troop 9 in Chapel Hill, work on the written test for a merit badge in orienteering
during the Orange District Boy Scout Camporee last weekend at Camp Reeves
in Moore County. Nearly 100 scout and adult leaders from seven troops took
part. To get their merit badges in orienteering, scouts had to cover a
cross-country course guided by map and compass only.
