Itinerary Hillsborough to Williamsboro / Kerr Lake Troop 9 Bike Trip and Campout 20 - 21 May 1999 Description The trip is in two parts: a 52 mile bike trip from Hillsborough to Williamsboro and an overnight campout at the Boy Scout W.D. Campbell Scout Reservation on Kerr Lake near Presbyterian Point. Parents are invited for a Sunday picnic lunch. Cars will accompany the riders to accommodate equipment problems and tired bikers. Schedule Depart 8:30 a.m. 20 County Courthouse, May Hillsborough Route See Attachment St. Johns, Williamsboro, .2 mi Arrive 3:00 p.m. west on SR1329 from intersection with NC39, approx. 6 mi N of Henderson Ferry bikes and riders Pickup 3:00 - 4:00 to W.D. Campbell Scout p.m. Reservation Overnight 20 May W.D. Campbell Scout Reservation 11:30 a.m. - Picnic 2:00 p.m W.D. Campbell Scout 21 May Reservation Departure Afternoon 21 W.D. Campbell Scout May Reservation Personal Equipment o Bike Trip: Bike, Helmet, Bag lunch, comfortable clothing, water bottle, SUN SCREEN. o Camping Trip: Overnight equipment, swimming suit, more sun screen. Food and Group Equipment Food (except Saturday lunch) and group equipment will be coordinated at the troop meetings by patrol. Two meals, Saturday supper and Sunday breakfast, are needed. Lunch is to be a family picnic. Water Water bottles refills will be available from the car on the bike trip. Water is now available at the W.D. Campbell lodge.
