TROOP NINE NEWS

This issue is Late, Late, Late and I am Sorry, Sorry, Sorry.

FINAL COURT OF HONOR

Thursday, May 22 is the date; the Legion Hall on Legion Road (off Ephesus Church Road) is the place; 6:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. is the time. Bring the family.

We will have a pot luck supper--bring either a hot dish, a salad, or a dessert--enough for your family and one other family. Plates and utensils will be furnished, as will coffee. Soft Drinks can be purchased at the Legion Hall. With any luck, no one should go away hungry. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Arthur at 942-1343.

Despite the short notice, we hope that you can make it-this is our final court of honor, and should be a lot of fun.

SCOUT-O-RAMA

Our booth won a blue ribbon, and our axe team was second in the Council! Cutting an 8" oak log with 82 chops is no mean feat. Very good work!

Two weekends of Scouting in a row were a pretty heavy burden for both the boys and the parents to take. We really appreciated that as many as did participate were there.

COMING UP!

O.A. Initiation- June 6, Camp Durant

Summer Camp - June 22-28, Camp Durant. Fee: $22.50 per boy.

Canoe Trip - 5 days between August 17th and August 30th. Each boy must advance one rank since September 1968 and be able to swim 50 yards to go.
