Meeting Minutes:

No minutes were approved. Deferred until next meeting

Advancement: Marshall Lynn and Sam Abernathy passed their Star Board’s of Review. Recharter is due January 30^th.

Scoutmaster Report: Since our last Troop Committee Meeting the following events took place:

Daniel Ripperton’s Eagle Court of Honor (11/21) was well attended including many scout dignitaries.

The Uwharrie trip was canceled due to weather and replaced with a day hike at Umstead Park with a day of teaching scouting skills.

The boys had opportunities to earn Nuclear Science Merit Badge (12/21) thanks to Cathy Parker (Number of Scouts?)

The boys had an opportunity to earn Law Enforcement Merit Badge. (Date? Number of Scouts? Adult leaders?)

Fundraising: We solicited more ideas about fundraising including: having a spaghetti dinner, selling first aid kits, selling light bulbs, selling Christmas cards, selling Christmas wreaths. It was decided that we would pursue selling First Aid Kits. We need a parent to lead this effort.

Caving Trip: This trip was rescheduled back to the weekend of 1/16-1/18. It was discussed whether the trip should start Saturday with Sunday night in the cave and return Monday or try to leave Saturday, spend the night in the cave Saturday night and return on Sunday.

Treasurer Report: The balance currently is $2043.
