We opened the meeting with a discussion about Troop 9 fund raising activity. The committee voted that Troop 9 would engage in some fund raising activities. Rose Lee volunteered to be our ŇGarage Sale ChairÓ and we would have a Garage Sale with goods donated by the Scouts family and friends. The proceeds from this sale would go to Troop 9. (Thanks, Rose Lee).

TreasurerŐs Report was deferred until the next meeting. A search for a new treasurer is ongoing and Kim Harry is absent. There will be a new treasurer and a treasurer report next month.

Collecting and Reimbursement of Outing Travel Costs: Tom Lynn and Derek Rodriguez presented a possible change to the reimbursement policy. The idea was that scouts of parents who drive on the camping trips would not be charged mileage for the trips. This discussion was deferred until the treasurer could comment on the hope that this would ease outing collections and disbursements.

Big Sweep will have to be canceled. Other service opportunities are being worked on.

New Business:

We discussed a need for a new treasurer.

There was a proposal to try to shorten the length of the trips on next yearŐs calendar. This would decrease the cost of trips and make it easier for parents to help with transportation without going on the trip. It would also leave more time for camping. Further discussion was deferred until next meeting.
