Past Events:
This past weekendÕs intermediate backpacking trip at Uwharrie was terrific. 8 Scouts and 4 adults hiked a beautiful 8.5 mile trail originally blazed as an Eagle project in 1930. We camped at their fire circle on Panther Creek, 5.5 miles up and into the Uwharrie National Forest. James Stonecypher advanced to Life on this campout. All the new Scouts learned orienteering skills with map and compass.
