Minutes from Troop 9 Committee Meeting on October 10, 2006
In Attendance:
Dave Filpus, Wendy Painter, Lisa Ripperton, John Risk, Gayle Risk, Dave Scocca
Meeting called to order by Dave Filpus.
Halloween: Halloween falls on a Tuesday night this year. We
reached consensus that taking that week off was probably the best way
to handle the conflict with the traffic downtown.
Minutes: The minutes from the previous meeting are on the website and were accepted.
Treasurer's Report: Lisa Ripperton reported that the current bank
balance is $3274.03; some checks for dues have been turned in but not
deposited.
Trips & Activities: The preliminary calendar of trips and
activities was passed out. There was some uncertainty as to the
exact school holidays surrounding the three-day trip planned for
November 10-12. There is not yet a set date for summer camp.
The District Camporee is this coming weekend at Camp Reeves.
Uniforms: The newly-christened Dragon Patrol will need patrol patches.
Weekly Program: Wendy reported that Wayne is working with the
youth leaders on the program, and that they are currently working on
orienteering.
Church Construction: tabled for the time being; no news
Recruiting: Gregg has called packs to encourage Webelos visits at the upcoming camporee.
The date has not yet been set for Philip Hock's Eagle Court of Honor;
this had been considered for the October 3 Troop Court of Honor but the
scheduling did not work out.
The meeting was adjourned. Next committee meeting will be Tuesday, November 14.
