Minutes from Troop 9 Parent/Committee Meeting on Feb. 14, 2006
In Attendance:
Dave Filpus, Tom Hock, Wendy Painter, Deb Miles, Marianne Vanderburg, John Risk, Gayle Risk, Trisha Clemens, Dave Scocca
Meeting called to order by Dave Filpus.
Item: Minutes from previous meeting were accepted.
Item: No treasurer's
report. There have been no recent expenditures however the
recharter fees will be paid soon. Balance remains constant.
Item: Trips &
Activities. Caving trip has been cancelled and replaced with
backpacking trip to South Mountain. This trip has also been moved
to 2/25-2/26. The March trip will be the Shenandoah trip and will
be rescheduled for later in the month.
Item: Uniforms. Uniform
closet still has uniforms for new scouts. Goodling Outfitters now
deals in used/new scout uniforms. We will add a link to his
website. Uniforms are also available on Ebay.
Item: Program.
Everything is still on course. Continuing work on Traffic Safety
and Forestry merit badges. Hopefully the windshield wiper test
for Traffic Safety can be done at the next camping trip. Luke
will be finishing Pioneering merit badge. Currently looking for
someone to handle Fingerprinting merit badge.
Item: Philip is continuing with the paperwork for his Eagle project.
Item: Recruiting.
There will be a webelos den visiting at the 2/28 meeting. The
movie night went well. Looking into getting more scout
announcements in the church bullentin.
Item: Brian has almost completed his religious award which could be awarded at the next court of honor.
Item: The troop will
participate in the ABC sales at the church instead of attending the
spring camporee. This is the church's yearly fundraiser and a
great opportunity for service hours.
The meeting was adjourned.
