Since Lyman's passing last September, Troop 9 has been working to establish an appropriate memorial in honor of the work he did for Scouts. We are close to that goal becoming a reality. We have been working with the Chapel of the Cross, and Lisa Ripperton to this end, and have decided on building 2 custom made display units that will flank each side of an existing bulletin board used by the Church Sunday school classes. Each unit will be made with red oak lumber with 3 adjustable shelves and a single Plexiglas door. Oak trim will be applied to the cabinets and bulletin board to bring them together as one unit. The projected cost for this project is in the $1,600 - $1750 range. See sketch.

Many of you have expressed a desire to contribute to this memorial, and your contribution will be most welcome under the following conditions.

1. A list of donors will be maintained for the historical record, but we will not maintain any record of the amount given by a donor. If you wish not to be recognized, please mark your donation as anonymous.
2. Should we receive more contributions that required, The troop committee will determine the appropriate use of any such excess.
