 Spare Clothes

Also, pack a full set of clothes including underwear, socks, shoes, coat, etc. ( really everything), and a towel in a separate bag to leave in the car. Then when you come back to the car drenched and dirty, you can get dry and moderately comfortable for the drive home. This counts for a lot on drives of more than ten seconds. If you are not wet, but dirty, you can cover the car seat with a large plastic bag for the ride back to the camp site or cabin.
