Orange/Mawat District Fall Camporee

The Camporee is a two night encampment of Boy Scout troops and
Webelos dens from all over Orange and Durham counties with organized
activities during the
day Saturday and a campfire Saturday night.
The Saturday
activities include a orienteering contest and other activities.

Equipment
Bring normal car camping equipment.
Since this is a public troop activity, we prefer that the troop tents
be
used.
Uniforms
Class A uniforms are required for flag ceremonies and campfire. Scout
T-shirts
are preferred wear during activities.
Food and Water
Eat before leaving Friday night. It the O/A puts on its normal Friday evening
dinner, that may be an option. The
patrols will organize four meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday
and breakfast Sunday.
Water is readily available at the campsite - you must supply your own containers.

Driving Directions
- US 15/501 South to Sanford
- US 1 South to Tramway
- US 15/501 South to Carthage
- NC 24/27 through Carthage
- 1.3 miles west of the courthouse
in Carthage turn left onto Bethlehem Church Road, SR1261 with a sign for
the Occoneechee camps. Go 7.2 miles to stop sign crossing with SR1210 and
begin to watch for Camp Reeves 1.8 miles on left.
