The Camporee is a two night encampment of Boy Scout troops and Cub
Scout
packs from all over Orange county with organized activities during the
day Saturday and a campfire including the Order of the Arrow call
out Saturday night.
The theme for the camporee is the Scottish games. The Saturday
activities include Scottish field games, a merit badge midway and a
treasure hunt.
All are invited to the Saturday night campfire, where Webelos Scouts
crossing over into Boy Scouting and Boy Scouts elected into the Order
of the Arrow are recognized.

Equipment
Bring normal car camping equipment.
Since this is a public troop activity, we prefer that the troop tents
be
used.
Uniforms
Class A uniforms are required for flag ceremonies and campfire. Scout
T-shirts
are preferred wear during activities.
Food and Water
Eat before leaving Friday night. It the O/A puts on its spaghetti
dinner, that will be an option. The
patrols will organize four meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday
and breakfast Sunday. Water is available near the camp site.

Driving Directions
Take NC-86 north to the main camp entrance for Camp New Hope. Parking
is available in multiple parking lots inside the main camp
entrance. We will drop
off all equipment at the camporee site and move the cars back to the
parking
lots. The campfire
arena is on the left road down by the pond.
